Baguettes and macarons

Posted in Paris, travel by carolineyi on June 23, 2010

Besides seeing a lot of food, you’re going to see a lot of shop windows. They’re all so darling!

I love how many of the shops are closed for a long lunch time… unless, I’m waiting for 2 hours for my school ID (which I still haven’t gotten). But that’s so cool; I feel like America just wants to max their store hours for maximum profits while France just wants to chill, sip an espresso, and finish off a pack of cigarettes.

Class (well, half of it), lunching along the Seine River. NBD.

Painini tomate mozzarella = SO FANTASTIC

Got all our books (besides all the readings posted on Blackboard) at the American University of Paris bookstore. Sigh, we’re here to take a class?

OH HAY THERE. Our first glimpse at the impressive Tour Eiffel. More on that later; we’re still walking towards it. Meanwhile, we past so many bike rental racks. I love how bike (and scooter!) friendly this city is.

Glenn, me, Christine on Champs-Elysees

and that Ashton Kutcher/Katherine Heigl movie Killers? It’s called Kiss & Kill here. It kills me..!

I won’t even apologize for all these images. La Duree was adorable and I’m going back! …and bringing back some treats for lovely people… (: Check out this awesome bar we sat at to enjoy some treats ourselves!

Menthe, framboise, cafe, citron

COMING UP: a post on the FIFA World Cup! Europe is where it’s AT!
